Jacqueline is a true classic beauty. Her amazing smile is infectious and her love of all things vintage is impeccable. Pride & Prejudice is one of her fave flicks/books and there is no doubt that Jane Austen would have loved an invite to this most splendid affair. The film provided Jacqueline with the design cues and the look and feel for her vintage beach destination wedding.
Before we go any further – I have to mention Jacqueline’s swoon worthy, vintage inspired wedding dress from the one and only Claire Pettibone. Jacqueline had fallen head over heels for this dress when she first saw it in a magazine (before her and Chuck were even engaged!) She ripped it out and if she was a “tween” would have gladly put it up on her bedroom wall to look at it longingly and send it air kisses as if it were a teen heartthrob from Tiger Beat. And like all good fairytales, this too had a happy ending – Jacqueline found her dream dress at a trunk show. The dress looked beyond stunning on her and was the perfect choice for her vintage inspired wedding.
Jacqueline & Chuck chose Villas Hermosas in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for their stunning destination wedding. I think it is safe to say from the photos that this place is pure paradise. Costa Rica offers a ton of incredible venue options for destination weddings but Villas Hermosas is breathtaking and quite simply perfect.
Jacqueline & Chuck are fellow Canadians, as are the owners of Villas Hermosas Tara & Brad – just add me to the mix and this makes this wedding a perfect Canuck hat trick!
Laura Sibley of Liquid Weddings brought Jacqueline’s dream of a vintage beach wedding to life. From the candelabras, to the parasols, to the picture perfect flowers to the breathtaking reception table set up that felt like it belonged in an Anthropologie showroom. Laura has a incredible eye for detail and created a truly magical day that Jacqueline & Chuck, their friends and family along with us will not soon forget.
