A STUNNER BALZAC DISTILLERY DISTRICT WEDDING
This delightful Distillery District wedding has all the gorgeous and all the feels. Liz & Gord chose to say their I do’s at the St James Cathedrale in the heart of downtown Toronto – since they actually met at the dog park which is right next door. These two are big time dog lovers – so it is quite fitting that it was their dogs that actually brought them together. They were each out strolling and walking their own dog at the park and just like that they met – ah puppy love! The four legged matchmakers of course were on hand during the ceremony and for a few photos following – afterall the big day would not have been if not for them.
The cocktail style reception took place at the loveliest of lovely coffee houses – Balzac’s in the Distillery District. With 50 of their nearest and dearest it was a marvellously intimate and gorgetastic wedding. Guests enjoyed the wonderful patio for a few drinks and deliciously yummy passed apps by Presidential Gourmet and moved inside for the first dance and to hear the fab band play. What a perfect venue for a wedding – Balzac’s looks so great that all you need to do is add your guests. No need for major decor – it is perfectly perfect just the way it is. It was actually built in 1895 as a Pump House and now has been transformed into a grande Parisian style cafe. And with the backdrop of the Distillery District at your doorstep that is just the cherry on top. Certainly one of Toronto’s unique wedding venues.
Liz & Gord – you guys are beautiful inside and out – massive congrats on your new arrival!
