AN ANDAZ PAPAGAYO PICTURE PERFECT WEDDING
The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo resort in beautiful Costa Rica is stunning – there is no doubt. They have thought of everything, including providing each guest with fun lil’ flip flops and a vacation hat. Who doesn’t heart a good vacation hat. The grounds are wonderful whether you want to hang by the pool, chill by the beach or sip margaritas at the bar with their very own mixologists. Now if you decide to get married and invite all your best people to this marvellous spot – then my friend, it is next level fab.
Kierre & Brian live in DC and they have some friends and family that really know how to throw down and have a party. The dance party that ensued post reception was non-stop. The ties came off and may or may not have become head gear to keep the sweat at bay for many of the guys and the bridesmaids hiked up their dresses and tied them in a knot to move like Jagger. Music by DJ Mason Dunn was truly top notch.
Barbara Broutin of FourNineteen Weddings once again did a superbly magnificent job of the decor. Everything came together like a Pinterest pipe dream. FourNineteen’s destination wedding planning is hands down first rate. The florals by Artflower were the perfect accent to the Papagayo backdrop.
In spite of the rain – the plan B option of having the ceremony take place in the stunning architecturally sublime lobby was kinda the best. What a space for your I do’s. LOVE. I wish all venues plan B options were this spectacular.
Andaz Papagayo has a super cute purple VW camper van – which I spotted when we were doing the location scout. I asked if it could please, please, please with the cheeriest of cherries on top be around during the wedding and ideally parked in this exact spot. The staff gave me the thumbs up and then they went above and beyond and decorated it too. Again the best!
I think it is pretty clear that I am gushing about the Andaz Papagayo – it was our first wedding at the resort and cannot wait to be back again soon. Until then, I’ll wear my vacation hat and dream of it.
