A MARVELLOUS MONTREAL CHIC RESTAURANT WEDDING

It is no secret that we heart our couples and often become friends long after the I do’s have been said and rings exchanged. In this case, I have known the bride, Rachel for over 2 whole decades. She is my sister’s best friend – so when she said she was getting married – we were over the moon thrilled to be the ones to capture all the chic awesomeness for her and Sam.

Their wedding could technically be classified as a destination wedding – since Sam & Rachel live in the States and chose to have their big day back in Rachel’s home city of Montreal. The prep took place at Rachel’s parents home in Upper Westmount and is essentially a photographer’s dream. The art, the light, the twirling staircase – oh my – it was all just too incredible. Prepping in a spot that has meaning to the couple is always the best. Rachel grew up in this house – so for her to come down the stairs in her wedding dress and fully bridalified to see Sam for the first look – well…yup it was a moment.

The wedding ceremony took place at Emanu-el Beth Sholom Synagogue and then everyone headed to Beatrice restaurant down the road (formerly Bice). The restaurant is marvellous on any given day but it was kicked up a bunch of notches for the reception and looked simply divine and oh so twinkly. Their guest wined and dined and danced their faces off. The speeches were lovely, thoughtful and funny – we were all laughing and crying – some of us behind the lens included.

Rachel & Sam – we adore you guys and truly love love loved times a million zillion capturing every moment for you both.
