Hello and welcome to our blog.
Destination wedding photography is what
we do, and here you’ll find information on all
of our most recent shoots, as well as all
sorts of other weird and wonderful weddingy
things…..cool venues, great invite design,
bridal fashion links etc, etc. What you won’t
find are tacky pics, tacky links, tacky this and
tacky that. No tacky photos taken by
tacky photographers of brides sitting in
front of tacky fountains. Yep, this blog is
100% fountain-free, so if they’re the kind
of photos you like, please look away now…

JE T’AIME – FEATURE IN A PARISIAN BRIDAL MAGAZINE XOXO

Written by Jessica - Posted October 9th - Photographs by A Brit & A Blonde

Bonjour mes belles! I could not be happier if you gave me a box of Laduree macaroons and a gift certificate to Colette right now. A little while back Kathleen & Tom’s delightful DIY destination wedding in Costa Rica was featured on Style Me Pretty. The editor of Mariee magazine – which is a stunning french (oui, as in Paris) bridal magazine – fell head over her Louboutins in love with it.

She emailed to ask if it was cool if she featured this sunny yellow wedding in her magazine. Bien sur, of course – we said right away. And then in the background secretly high fived each other and cheers’ed with our drinks as if they were the finest Champagne. Oooh la la – isn’t it exciting!

So in the Sept/Oct/Nov 2012 issue of the chic Mariee magazine – you will find a double-page spread of our work. Not living in la Rive Gauche or on rue Saint Honore do not fret – you can click here to check out the magazine feature on pages 14-15 while sipping a cafe au lait and eating a pain au chocolate.

A big shout out to Kathleen, our DIY savvy bride who hand painted and hand printed, cut, sewed and glued together all the lovely details. Check out more of her sunny yellow DIY wedding. Big love to Weddings Costa Rica who always rocks it for another stunning wedding. And don’t forget to check out the perfect sandals for a destination wedding that the bride and bridesmaids wore – they are made by Sseko and can be tied in many different ways. The sandals are handmade by women in Uganda, Africa – empowering them to further their education in order to change the world. They are an amazing company and the sandals are rad.

Merci Anne Clausse of Mariee magazine for featuring one of our Costa Rica weddings – kiss, kiss…on both cheeks comme les francais.

COSTA RICA GREEN WEDDING IN THE CLOUD FOREST FEATURE

Written by Jessica - Posted September 13th - Photographs by A Brit & A Blonde

One of our fave e-zines Eco-Beautiful Weddings have feature us – A Brit & A Blonde – in their Summer/Fall issue. I think my heart is still aflutter. If you haven’t yet checked out this delightful eco-chic online mag – you simply must dahling. If you are planning a green wedding, this is a definite read and should become your eco-chic bible.

Click the link to view the 4-page feature (I know how rad 4 pages – yeah!) and see all the Costa Rica wedding photography gorgeousness. And then scroll your way to page 76 to see how Costa Rica’s Cloud Forest can make the perfect unique destination wedding venue.

We shot Valeria & Jorge’s wedding in the cloud forest of San Ramon. And yes, it is every bit as magical as it sounds. Villa Blanca Cloud Forest & Nature Reserve is the perfect green destination wedding venue in Costa Rica. The hotel boasts a Five Green Leaves ranking – which only few hotels in Costa Rica have attained. They have a dairy ranch, self guided walking trails and it is surrounded by a biological reserve. It is pure eco-fabulosity.
